Well, I lost 3 pounds this week!! I'm super excited although a bit disappointed in myself as I went off diet 3 times. However, that being said I'm still impressed with my self control. My first cheat was a flour tortilla which is a big no no in phase 1, but I only allowed myself 1. My second cheat came when my party included brownies....SB diet says if you feel like you HAVE to have one, have 3 bites and pass it on, which is exactly what I did...yeay! Does anyone have the first idea how hard it is to have 3 bites of a dessert and walk away?? So my third cheat came i was in a rush and took my kids to taco bell and I left the majority of my $ at home so I had another tortilla. And that was it... not too bad at all considering the track record i have with food.
I've also recently become a consultant for The Pampered Chef, which you would think is the worst idea ever being on a diet, but its honestly helping me a lot! A lot of their products are SUPER for anyone on any kind of diet! (If you'd like me to get you a list of perfect diet items and a catalog, I'd be more than happy to give ya a "Heathy You" discount! :-) )
At any rate, I get to start phase 2 today, which means adding back some GOOD carbs to my diet! BOY am I excited! LOL I picked up some SB meal bars because thats one of the biggest things I've been struggling with is time for breakfast. It was so EASY for me this morning to just grab and go and KNOW that it's approved on my diet plan!
I'll be posting more about phase 2 another day and will continue to post my recipes for those of you who have expressed interest!

Good job on the 3 lb. loss!! That is awesome. And it sounds like you are really doing a great job on your plan. I'm glad you made it through phase 1 and are now in phase 2. I know what you mean about breakfast. I think that is one of the reasons I couldn't stick with SB was because I couldn't figure out anything that worked (for me) during phase 1 for breakfast. So, I really commend you for sticking with it.
Be sure to reintroduce the carbs back in slowly. Maybe one carb/day the first week; two carbs/day the second week, etc. Adding back too many carbs too fast can stall your weightloss.
Also, be careful with those SB diet bars. They're fine once and awhile, but I wouldn't recommend eating them all the time. Although the bars are marketed as "South Beach Living", the list of ingredients go against the fundamentals of what the South Beach Diet plan was based on.
Fanastic that you can go off diet and STILL lose 3 pounds!
Keep on going.
Oh excellent week! I love that you didn't let a couple of silly tortillas derail your effort. Just proves that perfection isn't the goal; progress is! And you *definitely* are progressing!
Great job on the 3lb. loss!! I commend you on the SB diet thing. I couldn't stick to it. I really do like the carbs a bit much. I'm keeping them in moderation though.
That's great about the 3 pounds.
The SB diet has been very successful for Pasta Queen. I wish you the same success.
Way to go Jess. I am trying to find a diet I can stick to myself.
Its awesome that you are on plan and losing weight!!!!
I'm excited for you, as well as myself. I have uber respect for anyone who can do the South Beach diet. No carbs= No way for hubby and me.
At least I have successfully transitioned the kids and I to whole wheat. Now if I could just figure out how to get hubby to stop eating half a loaf of french bread per meal! LOL
